Re: Locomotive Sand KUID

John, The sand KUID is whatever. The only issue is that way you won't be able to use any of the sand houses in the game (all use Prowler's KUID, which is why I keep using it). But the engine doesn't actually consume sand, so it's not an issue. As for the whistle, being obsolete just means a newer ve...

Re: Promontory Stuff

Nic, you'll be glad to know that TANE versions of the engines are still going out. They don't look quite as nice because of the lack of PBR and good rolling stock, but they should tide you over unless/until you upgrade. Having done Jupiter and 14 UP locos, next priority is Antelope: https://media.di...

Re: Lighting effects for Trainz 2010

That is indeed the case - usually I just put the nightmode for windows slightly outside the original glass position - a quarter inch or so prevents them from flickering.

Re: Oh yay!

As much as I'd love to build some moguls right about now, you're probably right. :? From what I can tell the CP had only the six Danforth moguls (the larger Nevada, Utah and Humboldt, and the smaller Hercules, Oneonta and Washoe). The roster doesn't list what happened to the Nevada, but Utah, Hercul...

Promontory Stuff

Hey all, I had to check a couple times to make sure Curtis hasn't already started a thread for his Promontory route and rolling stock, but as I couldn't find one, I am creating a place to illustrate progress on some of the project. I have been doing a new version of UP Nos. 116-120 for the purposes ...

Re: 'T&T All the Way' to Goldfield, NV (1916) - A HO Scale Trainz Layout

I stand corrected on the color issue, but the cab lining is pretty plain in the photo you linked as far as I can see. You'll note the four light-colored stripes around the cab panel, as well as thinner light stripes edging the window sills. I can see why you wouldn't have seen it very visibly on the...

Re: 'T&T All the Way' to Goldfield, NV (1916) - A HO Scale Trainz Layout

I've been more than a bit absent from this forum, but one thing in particular caught my eye, specifically the BG #12 skin. Everthing else looks good as a rule, but there are a couple problems with #12's skin and lining. As delivered she would've been painted olive green and aluminum, and given how s...

Re: Need help with some missing dependencies

That is the asset 'Locomotive Sand;' it is counted as payware in T:ANE and so has been causing problems. At some point N3V need to remedy this... Anyway, you can download it as part of the Ridgway Sandhouse here: http://steammachine.com/prowler/ Also, nitpick note: they are Stevens 4-6-0s (I don't k...

Re: The Mojave & Panamint Railroad

Looks like my draft horse may have some engines to outpace once again... I haven't forgotten about #6, no, just been busy. You'll be interested to know I've got a copy of Sierra RR/Rayonier #38 ready for release from ANL, and I've been working on updating his diesels and TTT-6s. I've also ...

Lovely. May I ask about those crossing gates? They look really good, and much needed for period routes.

It's a standard type CS-22. Lone Pine was one of the type, with hipped roofs, an extended first-floor waiting room, and an extended freight depot.

Can't wait for more of these trucks...between this and the Potteries Loop cars, we are finally in a good place for early cars.

You could always try lod'ing the light, using a larger light mesh as you get farther away.....

Re: Train Order Board aspect scripts.

I actually figured out an alternate solution, one which does not use coronas at all. With a lighted texture behind it, the transparent signal aspect actually functions perfectly: https://steamuserimages-a.akamaihd.net/ugc/784035968804148041/B6019056A4F51BF04B6FE8242F3920DE6A6DEA08/ https://steamuser...
