I definately know what you mean, its always funny because I have a tendancy for coming up with completely insane ideas for logging stuff. Usualy I decide that it is just over the top, and then find a prototype for just what I was thinking of :) I did the cab that way intentionaly, because I think th...

Ok, Here is that engine. The modeling is actualy done, I just never get around to textureing it. Without the textues the cab looks a bit odd, but it is suposed to be a crude homebuilt woden one. I will probably make another with a more normal looking cab too someday. http://i41.photobucket.com/album...

I need to stop dissapearing  . I was trying to make a ng30 version of Shagster's shay shay too! I did some serious changes to evrything, so about the only thing that is the same is the runing gear and the bunker. I already reguaged the trucks, so if anyone wants the files for them I can post e...

This confused me for a bit too. The catch is that the lever bends the single set of rails, not the pair diverging like on a "normal" switch.

I like the snow idea. Ive been waiting for someone to have an idea of how to make snow for a while. :D Im shure on the details of how it would work but I would suspect it would work like a signal. When it gets turned "red" by a train passing it would go down. I guess that would probably ma...

Lots of detail on that would be great, since there probably wouldnt be more than one in the same place. If a lot of the stuff on the walls was just done as textures, or atleast done that way in a lod I dont think it would be too bad. Basicly aslong as it doesnt make my computer crash  , detail...

Building a Depot

I decided to try another project in gmax, so now im building a depot. I don't have time to add pictures tonight, but I will asap.

I also have a question about working with gmax. If I want to make a face visable from both sides, how would I do that?

I see what you are saying. Now that I look more closely, I think it looks somewhere around 3 times longer than the porter. Mostly I had been using the magma, so I wasnt thinking about how small it is. I get it now though.
