I like that boxcar. My experience is that most boxes in the US had peaked roofs rather than curved ones. That might be a variation you could make later. Freshly painted cars almost never show any wood grain, until you get very close. Our weathered work car doesn't show much grain through the paint, because the paint peeled, exposing the wood.
