It doesn't have to be 512, by the way. I've used 256. There isn't too much of a reason to include that file. I usually do, but I could get away without it. I make the icon the same way as Curtis, except I don't save the map. That means I have to remake it every time, but it doesn't take too long to ...

I had hoped the names I used would get the idea across. The 3D shadow is what most things come with. It will shift and follow terrain. However, it impacts performance and doesn't cast a shadow on the track. The pool of darkness shadow is just a plane with a pool of black on it. It won't shift to fol...

Shadow question
Well I'm working on getting the Vulcan and ALCo saddle tankers finished up and I have a quick question for anyone who wants to answer. What do you prefer, 3d shadows (standard Auran style) or the pool of black shadows (4-4-0s, 8-16Ds)?

The drivers sliding along is something I mentioned earlier. If you want a quick fix, replace one of the Porter's invisible bogeys with one of mine. Then open up the drivers and change direct-drive from 1 to 0. That will change the rate of chuffs in DCC, but it will fix it quickly for Cab. If you wan...

Well the water on the HUD is what is in the boiler. Use the injectors (I on, O off) to keep it above 0 but below 100. If your water level is too low, you'll expose the crown sheet, causing the boiler to explode (okay, it won't in Trainz, but the engine will become inoperable). If there is too much w...

Which water rejuvinates? The water listed with a % on the HUD, or the water queue? Two problems with creeping. First, without a cab the lowest throttle setting is 5%, higher than I'd like. Even with a cab, 5% is still the lowest you can use with the keyboard. However, you can manipulate the throttle...

The direct-drive tag makes the drivers spin at the wrong speed in cab mode. It uses a 2 meter driver size (I don't know why. USRA Heavy 4-6-2s use something around that size, but there isn't one in the game (yet :-)) The issue is present from 2.0 to 2.5, possibly TC also. It's supposed to be fixed i...

I see one problem with the Porter. You put direct-drive 1 on the the main bogey. You should put it on an invisible bogey set to either the same size or half the size of the actual drivers. And a thought: it'd be nice if you put working controls in the cab. Did I send you a zip with the parts from th...

I think I'll make one of these. I'll change it back to its original form, though. Under all the grime, it is a 1922 Baldwin 2-8-2.
No, you don't need to make bigger cars. I think I could manage to do that.

A caboose? Would one like this work? Otherwise, would a C&S short caboose work?
