Curtis.....!?!?

I've got a question about the animation on your covered wood rick, and will understand if you don't want to reveal your secrets. How did you do the animation? I'm aware of the usual method of burying the mesh (or dummy) and then having it pop into view on the first frame, but I can't find any hint o...

TC3

Well, TC3 finally arrived, but for us there's going to be some disappointments. Bob Pearson's automated fireman script doesn't seem to work. That means Todd's locos, Ben's, and some others won't run in Cab mode. Curtis, have you tried any of them yet and taken at look at what the problem is? Hopeful...

Re: For Curtis, or anyone else that has an idea

Thank you very much, Curtis. I'm forever indebted to you. Again. I was concerned about half loads so added the conflict-with queues, and separate loads, but that doesn't seem to be an issue.
Thanks again,
Norm

Thank you both Dreadnought and Curtis. I've sent the .cdp out to Curtis. Hopefully, he can figure out the problem.

For Curtis, or anyone else that has an idea

I've got a problem with the animated load using product textures for Ken's gondola. In Surveyor, clicking Properties and then on the car to change the status of the load, only the last load, sand, remains visible after closing the Properties window. The car shows as loaded, but the load disappears. ...

Re: 'New' Link & Pin Couplers

Rick is correct though, that there is a slight problem with a.limfront and back being 2 inches too far out. But I can live with it as these are good looking.

Re: Why .TGA 's

I think it's the other way round. .jpg's require uncompressing in-game which adds to rendering time. When you save a texture as a compressed .tga is when you get problems. Gmax doesn't care what you use.
But then again, I could be wrong.

Great work. More miners and lumberjacks would be useful.
