Re: Maybe this might help me - mining stuff related

Linda,
It's great to see you becoming interested again. Way back when you posted your elevator, I couldn't wait for it to be released. Any part of your tunnel system could be useful. Hope to see more.

Re: Old West Projects

Say Brian,
Where'd you get the rails that're on the mine cars? Mighty nice looking, I could use them along with Linda's squaresets. Might I suggest uploading your stuff to TPR, what with Auran so busy?

Re: New Forums!

 The power went out at home this week, so I had to reset the wireless network and thought I'd screwed up something when this blue thingy showed up.

Don't forget Ben's 30ng Combine. If I can ever figure out how to keep the passengers from sitting down on the platform, we could have a standard gauge to narrowgauge passenger transfer for your Yesterday route

The only style I've ever seen on RR cars is like what's at this link: http://cprr.org/Museum/Ephemera/Link-Pin_Couplers.html . They were at the Kentucky rail museum. Yours look more like what would be on a locomotive. Seems like they'd be hard on the frame with no cushion, but that's just my observa...

I don't know how to do invisible glass, yet so the windows are solid for now. Isn't that just a black on white texture and all black is invisible or something like that, then write it up in the config file somehow? http://img373.imageshack.us/img373/3717/engineshed2ya4.jpg :D The way we can do it i...

I was going to suggest checking the orientation of a.limfront and a.limback, as you thought your bogeys were upside down. In gmax we create them in the top view to make sure the x,y, and z axes are correct. Good to see it. I like that jib crane. Can you make that as a separate scenery item?

That tutorial would be a great idea, I hope you're writing this down as you go. But it'll probably be for that goofy program 3DC  I haven't figured out yet how to see which direction those attachment points are facing. You have a.bog0 and a.bog1 at 0 elevation? Most people and documentation say...

As far as I know, it's dependent upon the original orientation to the Y axis. You can only tilt in the X. That's why it's rotate-yz-range.
To get my passenger transfer to tilt, I had to rotate the mesh 90° in the top view. You only get one choice, unless someone could make a rotate-xz-range.

I don't know much about stub switches, but with the way the stand is now, wouldn't the target indicate the direction? Throwing the target to right would pull the points against the rails and direct the train to the right, or am I completely backwards?
