Re: The Colusa & Lake (36ng) for Trainz

Heh, that does indeed look better...the sky is a problem though. Good work on the water, but I'm afraid the sky will probably change that. Hopefully it will change for the better.

Re: The Colusa & Lake (36ng) for Trainz

Curtis,
Looks great, but I'd suggest you revamp the environment settings, to the new TANE defaults if nothing else. That's 90% of how some people's shots look so much better. I also like making the top of the sky darker, since that's how it appears in real life. It does wonders to the route quality.

Re: A Problem with Ships

I'll look at it; I'm running SP1 so 3.7 isn't a problem. 4.0 is, so I'll pick up the beta rather than go for the finished asset.

For the best, I'm sure. I look forward to the finished model(speaking of which I should probably fix the lining and environment maps on the larger ones).

Re: Carbon Canyon

Andrew, It's looking pretty good. I'd suggest that you change out the little truss on the Corkscrew Gulch bridge, preferably with a girder bridge. I know it's awkward to find appropriate bridges many times, but there are some options. I'd suggest in general, too, that you replace the single-piece, 3...

That looks amazing, Curtis. I'm looking forward to the new variety of shortline diesels you are putting into the game.

Re: Trainz in the Calico Mountains: Sunrise Canyon/Palm Borate

A very interesting effort on the Laws museum, Nick. I personally would hold off on the Laws section for the moment: I know for one that the current(and the old) liveries for my SPNG freight stock is wrong for what is in the museum. I hope to make SPNG nos. 8 and 9(and probably 18 for its slight diff...

Re: A Problem with Ships

Heh. I'm not sure what caused it myself, although I haven't tried setting Trainz back into OpenGL after the ship originally stopped working. I'm sure there's some reason, just no ideas why it would be.

Re: A Problem with Ships

Huh, I guess your ships don't like OpenGL. I wonder why that is...
Anyway, thanks!

Re: A Problem with Ships

I've got a NVidia GeForce 8600 GTS, currently in OpenGL mode(going to try Directx presently, just as soon as I remove an ENB I was messing with because it actually crashes my game when I try to load the C&L or WP&Y routes. Reason number a thousand and one why I'm currently saving up f...

A Problem with Ships

I have recently encountered a problem with Curtis's Drivable Steam Schooner 1. The issue is simply that it does not appear in game. The shadow, coronas, and cargo all appear, but the main mesh does not. If anyone can identify and fix this problem, I would be much obliged.

Re: Portland and Western

Those are GORGEOUS. I think I've gotta go to the DLS right now and get the one...Might there be any chance of an undec model with that occlusion to make the rest of our lives easier?
