How about I write the config file, add the smoke tag and attachment point and send you back it to you as a .cdp? Then you can play with the smoke color, speed, amount, until you like it. The question is, how long will it take to get back to you? Should I try the gmail?

There is a tag for smoke involving the effects of gravity, wind, etc. Unless you can control the wind in game, we'd have to rely on gravity to make it look convincing.
