Loco Run-Around issue

Post by Dreadnought1 »

Folks,
I've noticed an issue with a few locos - I've noticed it in the 3ft Cooke Mogul and the two Golden Spike 4-4-0s specifically but it may affect some other locos too but I'll do more testing tonight.

When you issue the run-around command, they leave the tender attached to the train! Other steam locos I've used don't appear to do this (for example, the '06 built-in US Consolidation, QR 10-Wheeler and the British Fowler 0-6-0 tender locos don't seem to have this problem when teamed up with their respective tenders but you can still command them to uncouple).

I presume there is supposed to be part of the config file in steam locomotives (or in the tender config) that says "if attached to tender 'x', don't uncouple when running around".

Anyone else notice this problem or know what the solution is?

Cheers,

Try adding the line:
tender 1
in the config.txt of the tender that does not stay with the locomotive; see if that helps.

Thanks for that.
Any particular place in the config file that that line should go?

Generally, no, as long as it isn't in the middle of a set of braces.
Up near the top, under the KUID or KIND lines should be fine.
