Thanks, Sam. It took a little thinkin' and figurin' before I finely got it to look like that. LOL

OK, folks, I'm done with the Blacksmith Car. Poly count is through the ceiling at 6352. I can't work on it anymore. I'll bust something for sure.

I see you discovered elvenor's poly-rific track! What kind of framerates do you get with it? :shock: Wonderful car too! Don't know if I can use it though, its just too many polys... :cry:

Sam

EDIT: I see you added your new link-n-pin couplers too!

Thanks, Sam. I'm not going to pull a dozen of 'em around myself. LOL
The track doesn't work as track. It doesn't bend, per say. It won't make curves. It's used for show.

Yeah, I tried that track myself. I got the usual framerates in the areas with nothin' (just grid) and ohh, maybe 3 FPS in areas with trees and buildings. :lol: The stuff looks so nice though.... :cry: Why, it even looks better than my HOn3 micro-engineering flex track! Say, ya' know, I just had an idea.... you should do a full fire train! 3 or 4 water cars, a converted boxcar for a caboose (or tool car), just like this one: http://www.btsrr.com/bts8275.htm Do you have a copy of Kramer Adams book Logging Railroads of the west? Theres some fire train photos on pages 106 and 110.

Just a note to say that I have officially released my Blacksmith Car and couplers. Everything seems to be working as planned but I'm going to wait on releasing them anywhere else for now.
Who knows, something bad may still pop up that I've overlooked.

Sorry, Brandon, I got a little side tracked with making an attempt at my first loco. It's still at the top of the list and I'll get 'er out shortly. I promise... :wink:

Well if you are making your first attempt at making a loco, it means you are moving up in the world! :wink:

I'm afraid my loco is taking up most all of my time. I do get side tracked occasionally, though, (Pun intended.), and here's the latest WIP I'm working on.
The following pics were my base idea;

And, here's my efforts, so far.
It's a 20 footer and will load Rich's M-LOG 16 foot log stacks;

Thanks.

Here's the final version. Just got to clean up the files and send it to my '06 beta tester for approval.
Release date should be within a few days or less.
Poly count, 4290.

Hi all,
I've just released my 'new' log car. It's now at my site and I'll get it up on the DLS and the TPRDD if no issues arise within the next few days. (Direct link, http://www.geocities.com/thegrindre/page91canvas3d.html )
As I've mentioned elsewhere, all 'parts' can be found between the DLS and my site.
Runs in both '04 and '06...

Have fun and enjoy!

Rick :mrgreen:
I looove this car and it runs real good on my PC. The detail is very nice and
I know you put a lot of thought into it. So I downloaded it, put it behind your
Vertical Shay and ran it around my test track. Thought you'd like to see it
from my point of view. Keep up the good work.

Gee, Ken, I gotta send you the latest Shay.
If you can completely delete all Shay and it's parts, I can use you as my '04 beta tester for missing parts. It's got 6 or 8 or so, now. This will help me organize everything because I don't change the kuids.
E-mail is good, bud.
