Got a question about tilting/rolling

Post by thegrindre »

How do you make an asset tilt or roll. I mean in the config file so you can do it in Surveyor?

rotate-yz-range -3, 3

where -3 and 3 are the limit in degrees that the object can be rolled (can be any number, I believe)

Yup, that's exactly what I wanted to know. I set it to 45 degrees and that was it's limit. Worked perfectly.
Thanks, Curtis.

Second question, it only rolls on one axis. How do you change or allow a north/south AND a east/west roll? Or at least have a choice of one or the other?

As far as I know, it's dependent upon the original orientation to the Y axis. You can only tilt in the X. That's why it's rotate-yz-range.
To get my passenger transfer to tilt, I had to rotate the mesh 90° in the top view. You only get one choice, unless someone could make a rotate-xz-range.

Thanks, I understand completely. I tried every combination and only the 'yz' works.

Yeah, I've only gotten that to work also.
