Upcoming 30ng Trestles & Bridges

Post by Col Hogan »

I have got Ben Dorsey's blessing to renovate any bridge in his roster. I have been working on
a couple and need some comments before I get started. I have re-gauged them to 30ng and have
used different boards that resemble Heart Pine. The two I have here are typical of the first
24 or so trestles on my plan. So far, the upcoming renovates will be splines. Here are the first ones:

This is the flat version with heavy supports underneath.

This is the typical trestle version. A little like the Maine 2footers.

Using this trestle, you would stretch the spline out for one or two sections only, generally across
a more narrow river or passage. There are more parts to the trestle, however, this is an example.
If you have comments, let 'em fly. I am little partial to the colors and the overall look.
However, I am open minded ( until I reach 60)

Hey guys
I have finished eight of the trestles from Ben and they will be available at TPR DD
real darn soon. More are coming. These trestles are not stand-alone, they require
the approaches for either end to make them look more appropriate in place.
Those parts are completed and have been uploaded and should match the trestles.
There is a "Bridge Info" document in the file that may help in assembly.

The official picture as it was submitted for upload:

These will be available in the "Narrow Gauge" section of the Download Depot as should
all the 'gauged' assets.
I am also working on his series of covered bridges and want them to be a dark red, old board-look
but have the support boards and ties to be the Heart Pine. I'm having a little difficulty with that
but I persevere. Those are down the list a little.
Hope you like the new stuff.
