Thanks!

Another distraction - the WP&YRR roundhouse in Skagway, Alaska...

Still a long way to go; I'm still figuring out the sizing and proportions.....

Hi Curtis,

I have the engineering plans for the turntable itself, not the pit or roundhouse just the turntable. I'll mail those to you tomorrow.

Cheers.
Norm

Hi Norm,

That would be most appreciated - thank you!

You wouldn't happen to have drawings of the 8x8x7 containers, would you?

How are you feeling?

They went in the mail today, you should receive them Monday. I also included all the other stuff I got, general, to scale, layout of tracks at the Skagway and Whitehorse yards. These may be accurate enough to give you some better dimensions of the roundhouse. Also the plans for the covered turntable at bridge 18A and, I think, some plans for some bridge or another.

Nope, no plans for rolling stock. I don't know if he has those container plans.
How are you feeling?

Well... I was recovering slowly from the last stroke but... July 22nd I had a heart attack. Five stents and an angioplasty later I'm feeling much better. I guess I'm paying for that misspent youth, misspent young adulthood, misspent middle age, etc.

Now I'm facing all sorts of testing. Who know what else they'll find. (I'm holding out for an Alien Baby)

Cheers Norm

Hi Norm,

Good luck on the Alien Baby! I suspect I'm on the same future path as you; wish me luck!!

Your package arrived today; thank you! It appears I won't be able to slack off and use my 'placeholder' turntable as the real thing. I guess I'll just have to model one correctly ;-)

Edit: no worries on the container plans - it's not that hard to model a 8x8x7 cube, even without plans.....

Take care,
Curtis

Playing with the Freestyle renderer in Blender - it'll almost make a nice coloring page :-)

Is this a flatcar I see before me?

Nice work here, loving that underframe detail.

Thanks! It's coming along :)
I'm going back and remaking some of my older models (in-between the new stuff). This is the 24' flat; one of my first Trainz models. I don't know how much underframe detail I'll keep, but it's fun trying to figure it all out.

Thanks, Dan - another dozen years or so and I might have an idea about what I'm doing :)
