Just showing off again. Route building...
I've started a new route in Trainz and got hung up detailing this little corner.
I thought it came out pretty cool if you don't mind me patting myself on the back...
I always try to build things that make sense.
So, the Bakers built that house a number of years ago overlooking a beautiful waterfall.
When Mrs. Baker finishes up with the wash she'll pick a few crab apples and bake a pie for desert later. Mr. Baker has gathered up a few dozen eggs and a chicken or two from their three chicken houses and has taken them to town to make a few extra dollars. He also works part time for the RR keeping an eye on that trestle. Life is grand for the Bakers...

OK, last shot of this area. I'll post other shots of the route in sharing from now on.
Thanks, Linda. I only use the best by the best.
Hey, I've noticed you have released an item or two lately. I'm asking you to post a little 'hoopla' thread in one of our forums to let us know that you have, please. A little patting on your own back is acceptable around here ya know.
I don't know of anyone around here that doesn't love you and your work.
Thanks,

Totally forgot I was 'showing off' on this board.
Someone suggested I change the track so I have...
Here's an update to Edgemount. The Bakers live just up around the bend to the left.
Here's the desert area. We're coal loading in this one. The Bakers live way up ahead in those trees, there.
Gotta thank you a bunch, Curtis, for turning me on to that little utility you suggested. Makes all the difference in the world at playin' this game.
I have a pretty big PC, now, since the fire so, I've maxed all the sliders and have no studders, shacks or pauses. The caching the games does is instantaneous so no stoppage there either. Great!!!

Not everyone has a 'big' computer, I guess. LOL I'm assuming they're tryin' to comply with the average user.
I've also found out that my game runs much much better under Direct X.
Here's a shot I liked,
That leaky water tank has caused all kinks of overgrowth.
Here's another,
Norm turned me on to that signalman and now we have to wait.

Thought I'd show the overall scheme of things, here. It's only a 6 board route....
That's a large lake on the right although I used 'dark forest floor' for the lake bottom. Makes it look real deep.

Thanks, Norm.
I was raised in Los Angeles but spent quite a number of my growing years in the great redwood mountains of Calif. (Absolutely beautiful country, btw) As an adult, I had the good/bad fortune to visit Los Vegas at which time I fell in love with the desert. LOL
I like the city, the mountains, and the desert. I don't like the country, which is where I live now, in the cotton fields of Mississippi. And, man, this is country. LOL
I have no more room at my site. I've used all my mbs up. I'm going to have to find another site or upgrade this one.

Ha, I never would have guessed. With the way you spell grinder and driver, I figured you were from N'awlins. That is great country out there, last summer I finally got to take my motorcycle dream trip and rode out there. Saw San Francisco, it was okay, rode along the coast, those are some BIG trees, was up near Curtis, into Washington, there's some cool country there! Back thru Montana and of course hit Milwaukee. 8,000 miles and 3 weeks, I could get used to that!
Anyway, back on topic, hope to see it on the DLS then.
