I have an idea... more of a request... you've made a flat car, a boxcar, an ore car, an engine, how about the small version of a wooden sided gondola in 30"...
(I won't mention the caboose as Ken did. LOLOLOL)
EDIT: It just hit me, can the flat car be modified with steaks and boards? He, he, he...

Yeah, I'll add that to the list. If you or Ken have any caboose pictures, post them and I'll add that to the list as well.
I have several things ahead of those, though, so it might be a while.
If you're going freelanced, why not modify the boxcar??? Hell, remove the door, put a window on each side, a door at one end, and a stack out the top and walla, you have a freelanced caboose.
Trust us, we're not looking for anything prototype here. LOL

Hey
Whaddya mean nothing prototype.......... I would like to see something 'close' and BTW, just in case anyone's watching, I have a site that constantly updates their pic's and it is a New England site. I'll do some checking to see if there is a small caboose version that would satisfy Curtis.
Perhaps if he had some 'real' dimensions to go by, his job would be easier. (Rick, shhhh, you have to try to pacify these creators so they'll continue to work. )
Curtis, I'll have for you a few pictures in a day or two, since this project is in a holding pattern. That suit you ???

"Floundering Around in Mediocrity For No Particular Reason...."
No rush - weeks; probably even months are OK There's a 36' stock car and some V&T stuff (including getting the mogul out) that are ahead. Add in the inevitable burnout time, and I don't think it will be soon.
Rick,
I'm not terribly imaginitive, so some pictures of 'the real thing' helps me get an idea of what I'm doing
The gondola might be a good project for someone who wants to try and learn GMAX. Like Rick says, some simple sides on the flatcar is all that is needed.
That gon sounds like a good project for me. I am somewhat new to content creation, and haven't had much in the way of simple projects to practice on. It would be great if you sent the gmax file for me to work on modifying.
I guess I shouldnt have hid my email, its mrail3 (at) gmail (dot) com.

Welcome, and here you go: http://www.carsoncarshops.com/files/NG30_flat_car.zip
I've been meaning to set up a NG30 download page where I can put the source files, but haven't gotten there yet. One of these days......
If you need a hand with anything or have any questions, don't hesitate to ask!
Ben, Rick: Yep, those work just fine - thank you! Maybe a use for the round roofed version of the boxcar after all

What, do you want to attract the bears??!! (not that I'm one to call anyone on spelling...)
There seems to be something wrong with the zip file, I downloaded it, but it gave me an eror mesage saying that it is not a valid archive and to try downloading it again. I tried this a few times, but it still gave me the same error.
Odd.. I downloaded it on two different machines, and it opened with WinRAR 3.71 and WinZip 11. I was also able to open one of the files in the archive in GMAX. What program are you using to open them? Perhaps there's an incompatibility with what I used to pack them?
I think you are right, I tried it on a computer at school with a different version of winzip from what I have at home. Tomorow I can take the files home so I can get to work.
