Thanks.

I guess I should add all the goodies to the Blacksmith Car and release that next...

:D

Thought I'd share the latest project with everybody. Norm is attempting an animated spout so, the release date is a little ways off yet.

Just an old branch line water tank.

I like to be different so this is a bit different.

Have fun,

That looks great, Rick! With animation, it'll be yet another of your winners :)

I always like water towers like that. BTW, it looks like the closest diagonal member may have flipped normals; you might want to check on that.

Thanks, guys.
Yeah, Norm and I have been having a bit of trouble with textures lately. I'm building in 3DC but Norm is using Gmax. It's been rather odd that the both of us are having the same problems using two different 3D apps.

:)

Minor update:
Tweaked a few textures, added some pulleys and weights and cables and got it working. (Norm's a wizz at this, btw.)

Issues are;
I've stolen all the working files from other creators such as, .gs and .tfx etc., mostly from Curtis' Old West Dual Watertank. Who did these files and can I use them???

Thanks,

Excellent news!
The script and water effects are from Prowler - you'll probably want to ask him yourself.

Just got the word from Todd who said I can use what I need.

Well, folks, she's ready. It has a squeaky pulley sound when the spout drops and a full water flow sound as it fills your tender. Industry interactive, in other words.
It was exclusively designed for narrow gauge only meaning it's a little shorter, to service the smaller narrow gauge equipment.
(Sorry, you standard gauge guys will have to get your own water tanks.)
Poly count is a bit high at 6124. (I like my details.)

I'd like to give thanks to Nwhitney for the animations. The spout, cable, rope, and weight effects are great. Thanks, Norm.
I'd also like to give thanks to Prowler for letting us use his 'working' files. Thanks, Todd.

I've been told it looks suburb in TRS '09 but works great in '04 and '06. (There's a texture issue that '09 doesn't like but there isn't a thing wrong with that texture... Go figure.)

Available at the TPRDD
The DLS
And, my web site.

Have fun!

Hi, guys,
Just for the fun of it I thought I'd make this add-on to my Branchline Water Tank. Nothing fancy here just an old pump house with a valve wheel and the pipe extending up into the tank.
You'll need to align to dead center at the rear or thereabouts for it to look any good, though.

Image

If there is any interest, I'll release it.

Have fun,

NOTICE to all,
I have updated my Water Tank to work in '09, I think. Norm says it does, now...
I have also released the Pump House add-on.

Have fun,

Greetings Gents
I'm really ashamed of myself for being out of touch for a while. However,
I'm not THAT ashamed to stay away.
Rick, I love the tank and pumphouse so much that I have placed them
alongside my depot as well. Dam nice together and sound real good too.
It takes a while to get that loco to run out of water so I can get over to the
tank for a refil.
Here's my location :

I had tried it with a foreign narrowgauger and it worked just as good as the
US equipment. Keep it up and I will surely keep my eyes open more and be
gone quite a bit less this time.

Hello Norm. Send a note if you can. I changed my e-mail notifier and cannot find your e-mail address.
Thankyou.

Ken
