A Slight Request

I have been a fond user of Pencil's structures and equipment since the beginning. I myself am a fan of the roundhouses and watertanks. As such Pencil, I have a small request. Could you make a generic narrow guage roundhouse with the capacity for D&RGW K-28's and K-36's. I know your probably busy and such, but its just a though.

Hey Smokey
Might I just put a slight note in here before Pencil makes his answer. I wondered if
you have checked the DLS lately ? This would be only for your information..........
When you type ROUNDHOUSE as a "Description" , there comes 84 responses.
About half of those are narrowgauge speaking of 36in versions.
When you type ROUNDHOUSE in the "Title" , there comes 51 responses.

Many of those include the following:
* Durango Roundhouse, Colorado
* Gunnison Roundhouse, Colorado
* Chama Roundhouse, New Mex.
* Ridgeway Roundhouse, Colorado
* Como Roundhouse (DSP & P) Como, Colorado

All of these are narrowgauge and well built. The ones from Pencil are mostly SG
but the others are real darn nice.
I am respectful of your request to Pencil, however I wanted to make sure you knew
there were others to consider as well. Surely, he will make one for you at his leisure.

For your information only - I stand corrected on any issue where I am wrong.

Ah I knew about those. But they were built to handle smaller steam. I do thank you for your kind and respectful comment, a trait we lack in these times. Oh while I'm here, I am working on my railcars, but time has not been on my side lately for indepth construction. (AP Classes and a potental NJROTC officer position have me bogged down now.) I hope you all understand.

While the roundhouses at Durango, Gunnison, and Chama were all built when K-27s were the biggest power, they were used by K-36s and K-37s later on.

Well thanks for the little tidbit of info bdaneal, I do find the Gunnison Roundhouse to an almost perfect match but, alas too many stalls :roll: . Thats kinda why I asked Pencil, but thanks for the comment anyway. :D

I'll add it to the list. How many stalls are you looking for? Any other criteria?

A brick roundhouse with 8 Stalls and a 65 foot iron air powered turntable. Paint can be whatever you wish. :D Thanks Pencil.

OK, sounds good! Don't hold your breath, though - my list is about a mile long :)

Take your time. No pressure to finish this anytime soon. Oh and remember its 3ft guage. :lol:
