What could have been 1149 viewsA general overview of the Southeastern Railway Museum under my display plan. This plan probably will not happen, mostly because there is too much emphasis on some silly projects (Park Train and Duluth Run, anyone?), and not enough on preserving the equipment for the future. I tried suggesting an earlier version before I quit, and found heavy opposition. I may offer up this version, too, but I still doubt it'd happen. I'm curious what people outside of that museum think of the plan, so please let me know.bdaneal12/02/09 at 12:28jayo: Park Trains need to be preserved, too! By the way...

What could have been 4115 viewsAt the far end of the train ride sits a small village, which would probably be made of replica buildings as opposed to moving real ones. Yes... I would have left the Duluth depot in the park and built a replica of a smaller depot instead.bdaneal12/02/09 at 12:24jayo: I dunno, I think the depot looks better at the mus...

USRA Light 2-8-2209 viewsI don't care what you THINK is the most needed steam engine for Trainz. As far as US steam is concerned, this is it.
Not too shabby for having started it less than 23 hours ago.bdaneal08/13/09 at 15:29zues: Nice ben! I will be waiting to get this baby. And ...

Yonah II170 viewsThanks to bdaneal's Prairies, I now have a more accurate representation of the Yonah II! Of course, this is obviously different, with markings and being a Baldwin(Yonah II is a Vulcan), but it is a 2-6-2 with compound, (ahem) piston-valve cylinders just like the Yonah II. jayo07/21/08 at 12:02jayo: Right, well, you get the idea! It's the m...

Modern 4-4-0s320 viewsOne wasn't enough, so added another modern 4-4-0 to the pile of Baldwins. The new one is an oil burner. It is Texas & New Orleans #220, originally San Antonio & Aransas Pass # 60. The engine is now known as the Texas II. I also have finished the striping and lettering on Red River & Gulf #104.bdaneal06/24/08 at 16:19smokeygear: This brings me back to my childhood "...

Old 4-6-0s467 viewsA pair of Baldwin 4-6-0s, circa 1876. Both were built for WCVM&GS, and both were later absorbed into the Southern Railway roster. bn-4008 was still on the roster until being sold to Georgia Car & Locomotive sometime in 1911. It was resold to a logging outfit in Florida after being converted to a woodburner by GC&L. bn-4009 was scrapped before the 1903 renumbering. It was not rebuilt into an 0-4-4T.
I have two versions, 4008 circa 1905 or so, and 4009 circa the late 1870s.bdaneal06/16/08 at 12:27smokeygear: Love the 4-6-0's. Could ye do one with olde li...
