Baldwin Decapod431 viewsThe army grows by one more wheel arrangement. This is a standard Baldwin 2-10-0, used by several shortlines (and a couple of Class ones), mostly in the southeast. This is the modern version, based on Gainesville Midland 203, one of the engines at my museum. There is also an older version based on Great Western 90.bdaneal (3 votes)

Vulcan327 viewsA 20 ton AS Vulcan 0-4-0T saddle tanker. These things were very common in quarries and kaolin mines here in Georgia. This is based on one that operates at the Agrirama in Tifton, GA. I put a more modern headlight on it and added a dynamo, though.bdaneal (3 votes)

Magma Arizona 1343 viewsAn 1915 ALCo 2-4-2T saddle tanker. The Magma Arizona was a 3' gauge line that operated with many ex-F&CC freight cars. The line was standard gauged in the 1920s. The railroad gained notoriety in the 1970s for being one of the last bastions of Baldwin diesels.bdaneal (3 votes)

Savannah & Atlanta 750423 viewsThe most famous engine at the Southeastern Railway Museum. It ran in the Southern steam program for a while (unlike others at the museum, I don't know exact dates) and also the New Georgia excursions. It last ran in 1989. Currently on display in Building 1.
Oh yeah, historical stuff. Built by ALCo in 1910 for the Florida East Coast (#80). Sold to the S&A in 1935.
