Re: I didn't know it was that cold.....

I'm impressed Curtis   The shading of the deep red is absolutely, darned nice. It always impresses me that this work can be a success when there is a script to be had and someone is able to manipulate the working files so that animation occurs. I am anxious to see the finished product ...

Curtis
Even though I would love these in narrowgauge, I will have them in my collection of Old West
goodies just to say I own a couple of V&T antiques. I will run them ocassionally to keep the
fire alive and appreciate all the work you put in them.

I love it all.

Re: Sad news of a departed friend

 I would like to add that Norm was quite an inspiration to me as well. Not only was he a huge help with Rick, but during most of the Summer and Fall of last year, he and I worked on the six coaches of the 30ng rolling stock that you see at Sir Gibby's Trainzone. All I did was ask for a little h...

Re: Something I would Really Like to See

Welcome to the bunch Trekkie. Hopefully you'll have a cupla hundred more entries before it's too long. I'll bet that Curtis will be following this thread in the not to distant future with his entry of the W&A boxcar. Have you checked the DLS for the same entry ? Just about every other road is re...

Re: Crop Duster's Association

Well, here it is a month later and no visual updates to speak of. Looks like the crop dusting may have fallen by the way-side in lieu of another small project of a "logging-nature" I just can't stay away from it. If there is someone who wants to help with ideas and design, I'll be glad to ...

Re: My first attempt at trucks/bogeys

After giving it some thought, how did you get the other rolling stock wheels
animated ?? Blacksmiths Car & Sand Car come to mind.

Are they your bogeys or someone else's ??

Re: My first attempt at trucks/bogeys

I like 'em fine. The first photo looks like the textures are slightly photographic.
The last one seems okay. But somewhere, there needs to be a little more contrast.
Either the archbars or the wheel-centers need to stand out a little more.

Re: My first attempt at chunky mesh track

I love it ! ! ! When you try to match the OZ colors that are built in which look pretty good to me, you've done well. Keep it up and I'll soon have EVERYTHING ! ! ! I do have another idea if you care to tackle it. Many times the "horn" or "whistle" post on the trackside does not ...

Rick
This has to be one of your absolute best. Since everyone who has built a track system
and thought it looked great, you have come along with some insight as well.
Shay's don't leak down the middle.

I have gone to your site and bought one for myself and thanks for thinking. lololol :D

Re: Crop Duster's Association

I do understand from our earlier route. You did indicate about the edges being too close. What you see here is my prototype for my own use. I do get carried away with details even on my set-up board. You can rest assure that once the board is ready and will be decorated properly, the edges will be s...

Re: Crop Duster's Association

I certainly don't mind. Just for the record, the mainline for the fertilizer pickup will run across the entire board very similar to the picture here. There may be some slight terrain and foliage differences since this is what I'm using for my testing. I wanted to feel like it would be close to prot...

Re: Crop Duster's Association

Hi Curtis I've been playing with the numbers on the roll & pitch to see what works best on the ground and airborne. This picture is not exactly right. I had to PAUSE the movement to keep it true because if you 'STOP' the movement in progress, it sets itself upright according to the .GS rule, whi...

Re: HO V&T Layout

Happy New Year Jayo  :D Looks okay so far. I'm guessing it's a WIP right now. So, when you say it's a DEMO route, does that mean you'll release it before it's finished and that the complete route is forthcoming ?? I'm never real sure what folks mean when they say 'demo route'. Shouldn't it ...

Re: Crop Duster's Association

Hey Curtis I did some checking and the Medium platform looks better because of the amounts of the Nitrate sacks that may be used. The kuid I matched was 124060:28032:1 . I would like to change to the medium platform please. Thankyou. Putting the aircraft track away from the platform enough to clear ...

Re: Crop Duster's Association

Curtis That is exactly right. The roads/tracks would be changeable to the adjoining track. One quick question - would this conversion be from a small or medium platform ? This current picture indicates what I have been working on all day Sunday. You may not believe this but I now have a Biplane that...
