Ben, Of course, I'd have to agree with you on this matter. I've always disliked the 'stain' down the middle, being a steam fanatic and all. The cross heads, cylinders, rods, and valve gear of a steam loco would naturally leave the 'stain' on either side if the rails instead of down the middle. It ha...
Thanks, Ken, and you are right... They don't leak down the middle. Found this fact out after my stay in Cass. I noticed something a little odd about the track. I've been playing around railroad tracks all my life and am familiar with the basic look of rails but, something was wrong in my mind at Cas...
I see the, 'I wants', are already coming out of the woodwork. LOLOLOL Thanks. It is now officially released. 36 NG Shay track. Tested and working in, '04, '06, and '09, btw. My site, the TPRDD, and the DLS. DIRECT link, http://www.geocities.com/thegrindre/page9canvas3d.html 36ngTrackforShaylocosChun...
Well, I did it! He he, here's the final version. http://img135.imageshack.us/img135/6195/shaytrack2va1.jpg Not bad for a first try at it, huh? I'll get it posted as soon as I work out a couple other things... Oh, and thanks again, Curtis for letting me use one of your textures as a guide. :D :)
Hi all, Thought I'd share another specialty item with you. It's 3' NG Shay track with the grease and oil drippings on the outside of the rails instead of down the middle. http://img390.imageshack.us/img390/5170/newtrackpx4.jpg http://img404.imageshack.us/img404/2170/newtrack2cy9.jpg Still working on...
OK, folks, here's the final car. I just had to tone down that 'new' wood look a bit. (It's just not me.) It's still a bit new but aged a little. It's a 36 foot single beam log car accepting Rich's 32 foot M-LOG stacks. 36" narrow gauge, of course, and can be found at all the usual places. Built...
Thought this was a most interesting log camp. Analised, in my opinion, I'd say this camp would have to be built right dead on the side of a mountain. The housing is stretched out right next to the tracks and is set on what would normally be known as the 'right of way'. http://img122.imageshack.us/im...
Not to sure I like the 'new wood look' so, I thought I'd post this 36 foot single beam log car to get your opinions. It's another M-LOG car and uses Rich's 32 foot log stacks.
Ken, WARNING: Be careful how close you place stuff to the edge of your board. A merging of two routes could destroy the whole edge area, buddy. You should move things in a few squares. Remember our/my experimenting with merging? Although, I may not have shared this with you... If I remember c...
All this is extremely interesting. Very well done, so far, guys.
I'm looking forward to giving it all a try, once it's released. Will you mind If I add it to my route when I release that?
Let's see... You're using a Sopwith Camel and they came out in 1917 so a truck around the 1915s-1920s would be about right. Hmmm, Is anybody building one of these and can they make it into a loco?
Wasn't it Whecsailor that built all those cars? He's still around.
