Yep, I've played with it a bit. The new parallax mapping for ground textures really increases the realism, imho. I haven't tried the new grass effects yet, but the screenshots look good.

Sorry I missed your post. Yeah, most versions of Trainz need the Internet. There is (or was) a version of TANE that didn't need the Internet, but I don't know if it is still available or not.

That looks great! I picked up the Tonopah & Tidewater book last fall, and thought it would be a fun railroad to model (that and the Las Vegas and Tonopah). Parts of the LV&T are still visible on the road between Las Vegas and Goldfield...

A couple simple crossing signs. Taken from the 1927 AASHO traffic manual, I *believe* signs like this were is use (a little?) earlier. As far as I can tell, commercial vehicles back then tended to be put together by the purchaser - chassis and engine from the manufacturer, and the body from a separate company. So, they were all custom jobs. I've seen a variety of colors on the Internet, but nothing to suggest anything was 'standard...
