Re: I just got back from Cass, W.V.
I have detailed video of that stove in the dinner car. I'll get it up in awhile for those who want to model it. I also have detailed video of the caboose stove in the gift shop. I will post for ya, Ken, but I was trying to stay away from the 'tourist' type vids. Those can be found most all over the ...

Nice, nice, nice!
I bought a new camcorder, $350, but closer to $500 with all the extra accessories. (I lost my older one in the fire...)

Re: 'New' Link & Pin Couplers
I see that a few of you are beginning to use these couplers and, since I haven't heard of any issues with them to date, I've officially released them to the DLS and the TPR.
Have fun and enjoy!

Re: I just got back from Cass, W.V.
Ken, I stayed in bungalow number 231. I've got the interior of #11. Which broke down on us coming down the mountain, btw. Water started shooting out of the stack. No one really knew for sure what went wrong. Hey, why don't you post here? Or, I can post at my site which is what I plan to do. I'm goin...

Re: I just got back from Cass, W.V.
Sorry, John, I really didn't want all of cyberspace to know I was going on vacation and leaving my apartment empty for a week. Number 5 only ran on Saturday, which is when I got there and, I couldn't really get much footage as I was still checking in and finding my way around. There wasn't any acces...

I just got back from Cass, W.V.
Hi all,
I just walked in the door from a 4 day stay at Cass and have a lot of vids to share. As soon as I can get them edited, I'll post everything I feel is valuable to all.

That's a good idea, John. If you don't mind, I'd appreciate it.
3' ng is good. I like that. I wouldn't go any smaller then 30", though.

Re: My 3DC locomotives in 3' NG
Yes, Sam. Sent you a PM. Thanks. I like the 'pole' because of the uniqueness of it. Not sure how it'll work in Trainz but a true log road would turn some heads, IMO. LOL I'm not all that convinced that anything bigger then a class A would have rolled on these type roads. They were usually for 'tract...

Re: My 3DC locomotives in 3' NG
I'm not really sure if there was any turnouts as we know 'em. Looking at some of the old black and whites, I'd guess if they needed one they could easily pull up the logs and re-route the track. How about a speed limit? 5-7 mph max??? My plans were not to use any switches... I also have been conside...

Re: My 3DC locomotives in 3' NG
Do you mean a pole road? I was thinking of the same thing LOLOLOL I'm making plans as I write to make a complete pole road operation... Locos, rolling stock, route, everything. I'm going to make a one board logging module so anybody could 'attach' it to any existing layout. I haven't done any track ...

Re: Class B Willamette WIP
Where are you getting these 'plans'??? I'm looking for older ones of the early to mid 1880s-1890s. Have you got a source? I don't mind paying for them.
