RGS Short Caboose
Hi all,
just to let you all know, the RGS short caboose you see at the forum, if released, it will be in 4 different paint versions, maybe five.

Hi Whecsailor,
Looking forward to the short cabeese. I reeeeaaallly love all the rolling stock you've made and have a question for you. Since I have all the 36ng "old boxcars" and plenty of Slugsmashers, too, would there be a slight chance you could build a few flatcars based on the same structure of the boxes?
And of course make them interactive with appropriate loads.
I know these would be a huuge asset to the narrow gauge community since there are so few.
This is mostly a suggestion more than anything and also a huge compliment to your modelmaking. I love the boxes and would looooove some flats.

Hey, Ken,
I've just re-trucked the Central Pacific and Union Pacific flatcars with narrow gauge trucks and they work beautifully.
I used meridious's bogeys, (3' ng archbar bogey <kuid2:87907:50301:1>), from the TPR with my re-skins. (I re-skin about everything, though)

Just a suggestion...

Sure, no problem. Since they're my re-skins I don't see why I can't send 'em to ya.
I'm going to assume you'll know how to apply 'em through the config file.

No, I didn't know the source files were available. I just opened the car folder in CMP and had a ball.
Thanks Curtis. Let me fine tune 'em and I will release 'em. They're not quite 'perfect' yet.
Have fun...

The source files are on the download page, in the right-most column.
http://www.carsoncarshops.com/downloads ... t_cars.htm for the freight cars.
I only posted a single set of files for each car type; if you want something that isn't posted (or in a different format) just let me know.

OK, will do.
I'm re-skinnin' another one of your flatcars. This one is gonna be real cool. I'll post it when I'm done.
I'm runnin' TRS '06 and so far I'm finding all the skins through CMP with no problems.
Thanks,

OK, I see what you mean. I use Paint, Irfanview and The Gimp. I'm really not to sure about layers... Never learned that part of the program.
I simply remove each part into a Paint window, alter/edit them then put 'em back where they belong. I guess I'm creating my own layers this way, huh? LOLOLOL
This little chat has enlightened me. I'll have to look into the layer thing...
I could do it all within one window with layers, couldn't I? Hmmmm
Thanks again,
