Merry Christmas!! The 30' TOC flat and gondola updates are now on their way to the DLS. I also found an error with one of the general goods models, so a fixed version of that is also on its way to the DLS.

December 15th, 2014

I've started work on the WP&Y RR container ship 'Clifford J. Rogers', as well as the Skagway turntable model. I'm also updating the 30' TOC flat and gondolas to both fix TANE errors and upgrade the models. Also on the short list are the 30" narrow gauge freight cars. Finally, I completed the transfer of the mogul model into Blender and successfully exported it into TS12. Apparently the old GMAX model is having problems in TS12 with some of the brass disappearing at certain angles. I've posted the new version on the beta page - it appears to render properly in both TANE and TS12, but there's some more clean-up work to do before I release the models to the DLS.

Happy Thanksgiving! Recent uploads to the DLS include an improved version of the hay product (added normal maps and better lods), a fix to the general goods normal map, and a new revision of the mail product. NV3 included it in TANE and bumped the version number; conflicting with the one I put on the DLS and braking the express product. Also on the DLS is the second PNWR SD9; No. 1854 "Beaverton". Finally, I fixed some errors in the YVRR Bagby water tank and the 5' gauge turntable that were exposed by the better error-checking in TANE.

Uploaded the telegraph poles to the DLS, as well as my first diesel: a reskin of Ben Neal's SD9 for Portland and Western 1851 'Hillsboro'. The Skagway roundhouse doors are working now, and I'm continuing work on it. I may do a couple more PNWR SD9s / SD7s, as well.

Happy Halloween! The telegraph poles are now posted for beta. Let me know if you'd like to see any changes or additions. I've updated versions of the AB&A flat and caboose, and they are now available on the DLS. I've started to update my old 24' flat model, and am working on the doors of the Skagway roundhouse.

I've updated several products to reduce the number of textures, add normal maps, and fix some minor errors. Already on the DLS are the mail, express, cordwood, haggis, and general goods; and baggage should be up tomorrow. Out of the V&T RR Historical Society conference, I've started work on telegraph poles and a new set of grade crossings. I've also finally finished and uploaded a small shack.

Finally uploaded an updated version of my NG30 Porter locomotives; updated for TS2009. I never did get the cab mode working satisfactorily, but at least DCC mode works now. I've converted the meshes to Blender, so someday, I'll upgrade the models with normal maps. I also uploaded a 45-foot NG36 A-frame turntable; based on a Colusa and Lake prototype. Finally, I posted the VTRR locomotive 27 on the beta page to support Saturnr's NSRM layout on the DLS. It still has a ways to go, but it'll work as a static display if nothing else....

August 24th, 2014

Uploaded a rail-only version of my 56lb NG36 track. This is also enabled for snow above the snow line. I've added links to Dan's V&T coaches 11 and 12 on the V&T downloads page (thank you, Dan!!). Finally, I've started some White Pass and Yukon content - the roundhouse at Skagway and some early 8x8 containers.

July 11th, 2014

Caboose 9 1913 version is now (finally!) on the DLS. The Franktown depots and the Minden Four Mills are coming along nicely.

June 16th, 2014

Putting the finishing touches on Caboose 9. I've also started work on the V & T rural depots and the Minden Four Mill.

May 15th, 2014

Work on Caboose 9 continues. The lods, trucks, and a new shadow mesh are complete, and I'm working on the normal map.

April 30th, 2014

I've uploaded another NG36 bridge track mesh; this one with guard rails and timbers. This one also has a snow version, same as the previous three NG36 tracks. I've also dusted off the cupola caboose version of number 9, and am making good progress on it again.

March 23rd, 2014

Now on the DLS are reworked versions of three small bridges / cattle guards, an old V & T crossing sign, and some 56 lb 3' narrow gauge track with snow meshes. The tracks will automatically change to a snow version above the snow line set in Surveyor.

March 3rd, 2014

I've uploaded a number of small items last month. First is a rooming house; based on a suspected section house at Steamboat Springs. I've also created two fill splines; one normal width and one that's a touch narrower to better fit under NG36 or NG30 track. These have an actual road texture on the top, so they can also serve as roads. Finally, I've reworked the small wood fuel shed; bringing it into Blender and adding some AO shadow maps. All are now on the DLS.

January 30th, 2014

New this week is an update to the tie stack, adding shadows to the model and also making a version with ties sized for narrow gauge track.  I was also finally able to upload the tan NG30 track (30" gauge).  Finally, I noticed a minor issue with many of the track mesh libraries, so I've uploaded corrected versions.

January 17th, 2014

I've uploaded a couple miscellaneous items to the DLS - a bridge abutment that snaps to the track; scaled for NG30 or 36 track; a wall fill spline for use under track along cliffs; and two NG36 tracks - one with flange squeal for curves, and one for use in tunnels. If you want versions of any other track with either (or both) those attributes, let me know and I'll make them.
